Jolly Phonics

Posted on by beestinh

Over the past  few weeks we have started to spot letters in and around our classroom. We have loved looking at books and we are starting to recognise some letter sounds. We have also learnt that letters create meaning and they can make words to help us tell a story. During our phonic sessions we have been learning to spot the initial sound in our names, along with attempting to write them. We have learnt some of the Jolly Phonic songs and actions. We are getting really good at spotting a, s, t, p, i, n, m, d. We can even tell you things that begin with these sounds. We enjoyed completing the sound hunt outside and talked about all the words that rhymed.
