Today saw the start of our new topic – but what was it going to be?
Today, the children were given an orienteering challenge. Using a simple orienteering map and key, the children had to find letters hidden around the school site. Once all of the letters had been found, our new topic would be revealed.
The children were extremely keen to participate and worked well in pairs to find the hidden letters. After much map reading and detective work, the children found out that our new topic is…..(drum roll)….. OUR WORLD!
During this topic, the children will be learning about the weather, the seasons and alongside this, the children will be exploring artists who use natural materials in their work such as Andy Goldsworthy. We can’t wait to find out more!
