Children will be bringing home their first SPaG homework in book bags today (Wednesday 23rd September).
Homework will usually alternate between maths and English/Spag. Homework may be used to support other areas of the curriculum, particularly in the lead up to the phonic screening check (Y1) and SATs (Y2).
The homework needs to be completed by the children and DOES NOT need to be returned to school. Please support your child where needed to read the questions or explain what they need to do. The weekly maths/English homework follow the same structure.
Today your child will also have their Google Classroom login attached to their reading diaries. Going forward weekly homework will be set on Google Classroom, there is a letter also in book bags explaining how to assign your child to the correct class. Once each child is assigned to their class they can receive and upload work to and from here.
Homework will be normally set on a Monday.
Topic homework should also be uploaded on Google Classroom at least once a half term for your teachers to see and to share with the class.
