DOVES REAL(ly do some) P.E.

Posted on by suttonb

I know what you’re thinking, sat in your armchair on this Friday evening, a mug of warm Horlicks by your side, the dogs quietly snoozing in front of the log burner as the delicate sounds of ‘The Archers’ end-theme drifts whimsically through the house: ‘What an outlandish claim to make: Tranmere have the exclusive rights to teach real PE now, do they? Don’t all schools do real PE?’ Well, make sure you’re sitting down for this one – securely place that steaming beverage safely on a coaster: They most certainly do not!

We’re now following an excellent scheme called ‘Real PE’ (Now see how clever this post’s title is?) which helps us to develop – through fun games and skill-based exercises- our Agility, Balance and Coordination, making us ‘sport ready’.

Doves have had a few weeks working on ball-skills, culminating in this impressive display of bench-ball prowess. Although only a snapshot, I’m sure you can spot those who’ll be representing Team GB in Rio. And by ‘those’, I mean ‘ALL OF DOVES’. Passports at the ready!

Dodge, duck, dip, dive…bench?
