Yorkshire Young Writer of the Year competition

Posted on by Mr Beech

We are pleased to share the news that three of the stories we entered into the Yorkshire Young Writer of the Year competition have been successfully published!

Previous student Ellie:

This is just a quick email to thank you for entering Eleanor’s story to the Yorkshire Young Writer of the Year competition. Whilst, unfortunately, she was not an overall winner, we nevertheless had a fabulous day at the festival and saw and listened to a wide range of authors. This was topped off by the presentation ceremony at the end of the day where Ellie received a book including her story of which she is most proud.
Thank you again; her new English teacher was most impressed when she showed her the book today at school!

Current Year 5 Will
Just wanted to let you know that Will’s entry was also published and he is very pleased! Thanks!

Current Year 5 Darcey

Thanks for organising the Broughton Hall Children’s Literature Festival. We had a great time visiting all the authors and it was a super feeling for Darcey to have her story published.

Darcey has a copy of the book that she’ll bring to show you,

Thanks for the effort it must have taken.
