All of the children enjoyed working out mathematical equations using a natural key.
A leaf = 5 Stick = 1 Seed = 10 etc. They had to write a calculation for certain answers.
The children were then given the challenge to create a date in Roman Numerals only using the materials they had collected. Some even had time to create pictures.
To finish off we tried to create a happy face with a beaming smile, wide eyes and a moustache (pupils request!) and a sad face with deep eyebrows, small eyes, down-turned mouth and another moustache, with our bodies.
I can assure you the pictures do not do it justice! It looked fab.
