To discover more about The Anglo Saxons we put on our archaeology hats and went searching for artefacts. Not quite Sutton Hoo, but we did manage to unearth a few in the school grounds! Once back in the classroom we discussed the pros and cons of using artefacts as a historical source. Doves had some great ideas and we had an interesting and enthusiastic discussion on the validity of different sources in order to learn about the past.
