Before starting our new Maths unit in Red Kites, we have had a recap session on grouping and sharing. In this session, we reminded ourselves that to multiply, means to create groups of / lots of and to divide, means to share. To do this today, we used hoops and cones to create groups of to complete multiplication questions and to share out equally to complete division questions. We finished by practising these methods pictorially on our whiteboards.
