Tranmere Park Primary School’s School Council consists of a representative from each class from Reception to Year 6. They meet with staff regularly to express their views, look at suggestions from other pupils and make decisions. The staff are always keen to know the views of the pupils and the outcomes of these discussions.
The School Council also interview candidates for vacancies within school – a very daunting prospect for the candidate! They do a fantastic job acting as ambassadors for the school on parents evenings, open days and when we have visitors.
Every year, election fever reigns when the new school council are voted in by their peers, a great introduction to democracy! Check out our new school council team for 2024/25 below…

In addition to the School Council, pupils are encouraged to take on many roles of responsibility within school through Team Captain, Sports Council and Playground Leader roles, and as classroom monitors and Y6 helpers.
