This week Eagles have been learning more about the impact of deforestation and the harm it is doing to our planet. The class have been extremely engaged in finding out about factors which affect climate change and what people are doing to help and hinder it.
Earlier on in the week the class created their own rainforest. This was destroyed (whilst the children were in assembly) and provided the children with a more visual representation of what is happening in South America and closer to home. The children were shocked and empathised with the plight.
The class have created their own posters for the ‘Tranmere Demonstration’ this afternoon, where each phase will share their thoughts on key issues and raise awareness of climate change. ‘ System change not climate change’.
