Woodpeckers Reading Vocabulary

In our reading lessons in Woodpeckers, we have been reading the book ‘Fortunately the Milk…’. We had a go at using different vocabulary to give things crazy names, just like Professor Steg does in the book.

To begin with, we had a go at describing the different objects on our tables. Then we had a go at putting these together to create different names for them. For example, one new name for a carrot was an orange, wonky cruncher.

Once we had come up with our own individual new names for our objects, we joined up with different buddies to share these and they had to guess which object we had given the new name to!
