Good morning from Ingleborough!

Posted on by Mr Beech

We are all ready and raring to go this morning after a good nights sleep. Reports of having done a “througher” and been up all night strangely at odds with staff reports of gentle snoring or silence from every room!

Yesterday, Mr Beech, Mrs Tate and Mr Raw’s groups all attended the Ingleborough show cave. Miss Gomersall’s group undertook the village study. Miss Bell’s group went gorge scrambling. Mr Housden’s group Scrambled over boulders in Rockabout and Miss Puckey’s group went caving up at Ribblehead Viaduct.

All of the children were really enthused about the activities and had loads to talk about in the evening! Today, the groups will all be doing more of the same activities and two groups will be heading out up the mountain.

After dinner, we were very forntunate to have a personal tour from a member of the Cave Rescue Organisation. He told us all about how they operate, some of their history and then showed us all of their equipment. We were even allowed to have a scramble in the rescue Land Rovers.

Take a look at some of the pictures below – apologies if not all children are present, we have plenty of other pictures but the WiFi here is slow so we can only upload so many in the time we have. Even with the best will in the world, some might have been hiding from the camera too!
