Tranmere Park Primary School

KS1 - Art gallery (Exit Point)

To conclude our topic 'Hooray, let's go on Holiday,' KS1 set up their own art gallery in the hall showcasing their work using pastels, pencil and charcoal. The children have learnt a range of pastel techniques and have utilised these to create images of coastal towns and the physical/human geography features that might be seen there. They have also used pencil and charcoal to create their own cliff images; showing light and dark.

Using their Oracy skills, the children explained their learning to their peers; speaking clearly and confidently, making eye contact and talking in full sentences. They were so incredibly proud to share their learning and to talk about and share their finished products.

The children in other classes were extremely impressed by the art work created in KS1 and it was lovely to see their interactions with the children. What a lovely event! Well done Team Tranmere!
