Malham 2026

We arrived at Malham and enjoyed our packed lunches in the Youth Hostel garden. We split into two groups to visit Malham Cove and Janet’s Foss and Goredale Scar. We had fantastic guides who told us lots of interesting facts about the geography and history of the countryside and landscape and how it has changed over time. See if the children can remember any when they get home!
We got caught in the rain on the way back but it didn’t dampen our spirits. The drying room is currently choc a bloc!
We were all ready for something to eat and enjoyed a lovely meal followed by birthday cakes from the birthday boy - thank you Arthur! 
This evening it’s team games with the youth hostel staff before bed. I’m sure we have lots of tired children who are going to sleep very well - fingers crossed! 
Update - the sun came out for us and we all enjoyed our second walk.
