Muddy Mondays Return!

Today, our ‘Muddy Monday’ sessions officially returned for Spring 1. Like last term, they will continue to run on a two-week rolling programme every Monday. Please make sure your child has a pair of wellies and full change of clothes at school, in case they are needed for this session. 

For our first session today, we read the story ‘The Snow Thief’, discussing the similarities between what was happening in the story and the weather we have been experiencing over the past week. We then went on a hunt to see if we could see any signs of this weather left, looking out for any ice, snow, and frozen/cold items. We were VERY impressed to find that our pond had frozen over!

After this, we took part in some activities based on the book. We ‘stacked the ice’, made shelters for Squirrel, and cooked him up some delicious meals and hot drinks in the mud kitchen!
