Science - Teeth

Red Kites learnt about the four different types of teeth that we have - incisors, canines, premolars and molars - and their functions. They looked in mirrors to identify their own teeth and bit into bread and carrots and tried to work out which teeth they were using to bite and chew. Then they looked at animal teeth and discussed animal diets e.g. carnivore, herbivore and omnivore and how their particular teeth supported their diets.
They were very interested!
