Skylarks use pastels to create their own art work in the style of Alfred Sisley

As part of our topic work, we have been learning about the artist Alfred Sisley. He was a French born artist who often used muted tones and rough strokes in his work. He also liked to create images of the coast and as our topic is all about holidays, we decided to use the pastel techniques that we have learnt and create our own images of Finley, Whiteby and Saltburn-by-the-sea in his style.

The children used techniques such as twisting, blending, hatching and drawing to create their finished pictures. We can't wait to show the children across school our creations in our upcoming art gallery!
