Spring Art in Red Kites
Red Kites had a lovely afternoon learning some techniques for observational drawing.
They tried to draw what they could actually see rather than what they thought they could see. They tried to sketch lightly and do no rubbing out. That way, they learned to build any mistakes they made into their pictures. They used the side of the pencil nibs rather than the point when they were shading. They did some beautiful sketches of tulips and a daffodil. I’m so impressed with their final pictures!
