So far in our English unit, we have looked at the settings of the evacuee house and Mr.Tumnus’ cave in Narnia. After reading chapter 3 today, we had a go at describing some different settings of our own. We tried to think about all of our senses to create our descriptions and even used thesauruses and word banks to help us improve the vocabulary we were using. For example, we changed tall to monstrous and small to miniature. As a challenge, we tried to put our descriptions into expanded noun phrases.
