School Day

Our School Day

**DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS, THE SCHOOL DAY IS CURRENTLY ADJUSTED TO ENSURE THAT ALL OF OUR PARENTS CAN MOVE AROUND THE SCHOOL SAFELY. PLEASE NOTE THAT CHILDREN SHOULD BE DROPPED OFF AT THEIR CLASSROOM DOOR AND NO-ONE SHOULD CONGREGATE ON THE PLAYGROUND. SIBLINGS MAY BE DROPPED OFF, AND PICKED UP, AT THE EARLIER TIME, THANKS.**

Where at all possible only one adult per family group should come onto the site to drop-off/collect.

Please ensure that you (and your child/children) remain appropriately socially distanced from those not in your family group at all times.

We’re hopeful that by making these changes, and by asking that parents stick to their allocated slots, the flow of foot traffic on and around the school site should create fewer pinch points. Again, we thank you in advance for working with us to find positive solutions for our school community during this time – thank you!

Assemblies

*WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT HOLDING IN-PERSON ASSEMBLIES DUE TO COVID-19. ONE WHOLE SCHOOL ZOOM ASSEMBLY IS TAKING PLACE EACH WEEK.*

Whole school assemblies are held 3 times per week. Assemblies enable members of the school community to come together and allow us to support the children’s personal development in a variety of ways. Collective worship provides the opportunity to reflect upon the broad traditions of a range of world faiths in a manner that is appropriate for all pupils and staff, whatever their religion. It introduces the pupils to different forms of worship and encourages them to appreciate the beliefs and values of others. Parents have the right to withdraw their child from collective worship if they wish, although they will be involved in whole school assemblies.

Monday – SMSC assembly (Please see the planner on our SMSC page)

Thursday – Special mention assembly.

Friday – Class assemblies or parent drop-ins, (each class have one of each scheduled throughout the academic year) performance assemblies or whole school singing.
