As the academic year ends, we are delighted to have been recognised, once again, for our Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity (PESSPA) offer. We have been awarded the Your School Games Mark Gold award and are extremely proud of this.
A huge thank you to all the children, staff and parents who have helped allow us to engage so many of our young people in PE and Sport this year. Our engagement rates skyrocketed and 79% of KS2 children took part in an extra-curricular Sporting Event this year, our highest percentage to date! We’re already looking forward to increasing this next year.
Over the summer, there are numerous opportunities to keep your children active over the summer. Some examples include Leeds United Foundation who are offering a Fun Day to celebrate the Women’s World Cup. Also, Aireborough Leisure Centre are advertising intensive swimming courses for all levels of swimming abilities and there is also a Make it 20 Summer challenge sponsored by the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.
