This week in Math’s we have learnt all about doubles to 20. Please encourage your child to recall these facts to you. As a challenge they may like to write them as a number sentence and look for the patterns they see – e.g. counting in 2’s. Please complete the sheet in your child’s book bag and return to school with their name on by Monday.
Our shared reading book is call ‘It’s Fun at the Fair.’ This week it encourages the reading of words with the ‘air’ trigraph – (three letters that make one sound). Our new red words are ‘once’ and ‘one.’ Please read the book a few times at home and see how many pages you can read within 2 minutes. The more you read it the more fluent your child will become.
As part of our new topic we are looking at how we have changed. Please could your child bring a baby photo of themselves next Monday. If you could write your child’s name and age on the back, that would help us out identifying them.
