Kingfishers create Mayan temples and landscape. EXIT POINT.

To conclude our topic, investigating The Mayans, we have designed, created and evaluated our own pyramid and landscape.

It wasn’t easy. As we have found out, The Mayan’s were a very intelligent civilisation and created beautiful pyramids with minimal technology. We had to measure accurately each level of the pyramid to ensure each level would sit correctly onto the next resulting in a perfectly created structure. We used hacksaws to cut each piece of wood and card corner joints to secure each level.

Using our knowledge of how The Mayan’s lived, we designed a working Mayan village with a water source, crop fields, dwellings and recreational activities.

We tried to include all of the flora and fauna you would expect to find in a Mayan settlement.

Finished photos will be published tomorrow!
