Who can apply?
Children born between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017 are due to start primary school in September 2021.
Applications are made to Leeds City Council and the Admissions Team at the council are responsible for the allocation of school places across the city.
If you live outside Leeds and want to apply for a Leeds school, you should submit your application to your council. You live in Leeds if you pay council tax to Leeds City Council.
How to apply
You can apply from 1 November 2020. The deadline to apply was 15 January 2021. Click HERE for the key dates for applying.
Leeds City Council send out letters inviting parents to apply at the end of October. You can still apply if you don’t get a letter.
We recommend choosing five schools to give your child the best chance of getting a place at a school you prefer.
When you’ll find out
National offer day in 2021 will be on 16 April 2021. If you apply through the Council’s online application portal, they will email you with your child’s offer. The council send the email during the working day.
If you applied in any other way, you’ll receive an offer letter to your registered home address (a few days after offer day).
