ARTFORMS UPDATE

Artforms, who provide our keyboard lessons in school, have uploaded some teaching materials online. These are intended to be accessed by children who would normally be taking part in these keyboard lessons. For those children with instruments at home, this is a way of ensuring that their musical learning can continue to some extent until they get further plans for instrumental teaching in place. Many parents and children will be glad of the opportunity to carry on making music and practising in these difficult times. They are continually updating this area of the website whilst the current crisis continues and further resources will be added over time. The resources can be found via the ArtForms website bit.ly/CurriculumMusicResources.

They have also compiled a list of third-party online music resources, ideas and activities intended for use by home educators which can be found here bit.ly/ArtFormsHomeLearning.

Finally, they are progressing plans to be able to deliver some online 1 to 1 lessons via a trusted, specialised music learning platform. Children will be able to access regular instrumental music lessons with their teacher. We will forward more information to you about this as soon as we receive it.

Do feel free to use the resources if your child learns a different instrument in school or just generally enjoys or is interested in music.
