Maths - Comparing Temperature

Herons class enjoyed exploring temperature as part of their Year 2 maths learning. The children compared temperatures using the symbols <, > and =, carefully deciding which temperatures were warmer, colder or the same. Through practical activities and discussion, they developed their understanding of reading and comparing temperatures while building confidence in using mathematical symbols to explain their thinking.
