Remembrance day

On Wednesday 11th November the whole of Puffins Class walked down to Guiseley Cenotaph to take part in the Armistice Day Service of Remembrance. We were greeted by members of the Royal British Legion who were happy to answer the children’s questions about their experiences in the Armed Forces. The children all behaved beautifully and observed the 2 minute silence impeccably, after which they pinned their poppies made in class to a class wreath at the Cenotaph. Once all the poppies were pinned on, Bella Gudgeon, Poppy Phillips, Bea Proctor, Abigail Tierney and Phoebie Walsh read out poems they had composed themselves.
