Next week is the deadline for bringing in your sponsorship money for our Sports for Champions Visit. It would be great if as many children as possible could get involved as it is a very exciting opportunity for our school to be involved in. Please could all sponsorship forms/money be returned to school by no later than the 12th July. When returned, please ensure that it is sent back in a named envelope which states the class and your child’s name.
If your child needs another sponsorship form, either come see me at Puffins classroom and I can give you a new one or just write your own.

I have copied the explanation of the event that was posted on the Tranmere Times in case anybody needs a reminder.
As a school, we have been offered an exciting opportunity to welcome a Team GB athlete to Tranmere Park. Our athlete will be coming on Monday 16th July and will be doing some circuit work with each class in school. After this, they will hold a whole-school assembly, explaining how they became an athlete and the qualities a sports person needs. The athlete that will be coming to our school is Beth Dobbin. She is a Scottish member of Team GB and participates in athletics events such as the 100m, 200m and 4 x 100m relay. She recently broke the Scottish 200m record, running it in 22.84 seconds, breaking a record that had previously been held for 34 years.
A letter has been sent out regarding this exciting opportunity. On the front, it explained what was happening and how it works. On the back of this sheet, there was a sponsorship form. We would like to encourage the children to participate in this event as much as possible. As explained on the letter, the children can be sponsored for taking part in the circuit. How much they raise then correlates to a specific reward. We would like to ask for the sponsorship money to be brought back in the week commencing 9th July. When you send this in, please ensure it is a named envelope which also states which class
