Year 1
This week we have sent home an example of the national phonics screening check that all year one children will do in June. It is made up of twenty real words and twenty nonsense words. The children need to sound out and blend the word, recognising the digraph and trigraphs. We are not expecting the children to be getting all the words at this point in the year.
